Quinn moves to tighten Illinois' concealed carry bill with ammo limit, restrictions

Pat Quinn today amendatorily vetoed his state's newly passed concealed-carry bill to impose tight restrictions on where, what and how people can legally carry, setting up a likely fight with the Legislature. If Quinn's changes stand, Illinoisans will be able to carry just one gun at a time, limited to 10 rounds of ammunition. They won't be allow to carry in bars, nor in any business that doesn't post a sign specifically allowing it. And their guns will have to be completely rather than partially concealed. Quinn, a Democrat, opposes concealed carry, but he and lawmakers are under a court order to approve a system allowing it in the last state that doesn't. Quinn used Illinois' unusual amendatory veto system to make recommended changes to the bill that lawmakers sent him earlier this year..."
