Reid: "The Republicans say the richest of the rich in our country, even those who make millions every year, shouldn’t contribute more to get our economy back on track. They call our plan, time after time, a tax on job creators, and I say so-called “job creators.” Because I say that, Mr. President, every shred of evidence contradicts this red herring. For example, there have been many outlets, but I’ll concentrate on one. National Public Radio went looking for one of these fictitious millionaire job creators. A reporter reached out to the business groups and a tax lobby in the Republican Congress hoping to interview one of these millionaires. Days ticked by with no luck. Many of our job creators are like unicorns, they're impossible to find and don't exist. That’s because only a tiny fraction of people making more than a million dollars, probably less than one percent, are actually small business owners and only a tiny fraction of that tiny fraction is a traditional job creator."This is beyond absurd. Put simply if a business that is privately owned and had $3000-$4000 in average gross daily receipts then the owner would have an "income" of over $1,000,000 a year. Thus making them for tax purposes a millionaire. This is true even if the owner only takes home $0.01 himself. Before anyone counters that those people would not count...these are exactly the people the Dems and Obama was wanting to raise taxes on; something like 70% of those affected by proposed tax increases fall in to this category. Nearly every grocery store, fast food restaurant, doctor's office, etc.. are owned by "technical" millionaires who create jobs.

A good portion of the right-wing punditocracy, Beltway sorts especially, appears to harbor a deep dislike of Newt Gingrich. They can’t believe he is currently the frontrunner for the Republican nomination and are doing everything in their power to enlighten the great unwashed about the multiple inadequacies of this man and knock some sense into them (us) before it is too late.
Now I am not a Beltway person. I am something even worse — a Hollywood & Vine person — so everything I say is suspect and should be. But allow me to chime in on why Newt is attractive to some of us at this juncture.
Let’s begin here: America is in a slough of despond. In fact, it’s in close to the worst shape it’s been since the Great Depression. Negativity rules the land. Few people are happy or optimistic. Basically, this once great nation is asleep.
And we have a president who wants us to stay there, who is banal, irritating, humorless, reactionary, self-righteous, and narcissistic all at once. He hasn’t said one interesting thing or proposed one creative idea since being in office.
Unfortunately, the Republican candidates aren’t much better. Romney, Perry, Santorum, Bachmann, Huntsman, even Paul, are no more than critics of a system gone moribund. They do not inspire us. I see this study or ones like it hit the news every so often. This is non-sense (at least the journalists take on the study). If this had any validity then endurance athletes would have a higher level of heart related problems, when in fact the opposite it true.

Glenn Beck on Newt Gingrich
I really think Beck is going overboard on some of his Newt criticisms. On the radio this morning (12/7/2011)he explicitly called him a "Big government progressive." That is just silly non-sense. Is Newt as conservative as Bachmann? No, but he sure as heck is not a "progressive"

Fareed Zakaria Lies About Right Wing Terrorism
Look at the cart when he discusses who is committing terrorism in the EU, the number of "Right Wing" terror attacks in 2010 are ZERO! Yes that is not what he says or implies during the story. Another point is that it is extremely inaccurate to compare what it called "right-wing" in Europe and what is "right-wing" in the USA. It is like comparing apples and pears.

As of today it is being reported that there arte five women who have in one form or another claimed that Herman Cain acted inappropriately to them or in front of them. I was somewhat confused about who claimed what and who 1-5 were. Therefore I am putting together this score card to try and keep track. Please send me any correction (with a reference) if you find a mistake.
Accuser #1: Karen Kraushaar
- Filed suit with NRA and received a payout
- Outed by brother-in-law
- Has history of making complaints
- Works for Obama administration in Treasury Department
- Cain stated he commented on her height as compared to the height of his wife
- Accuser lawyer said it was not about height
- Some have claimed she is accuser #2
Accuser #2: Anonymous
- Only the original Politoco article has any details on this woman
- “…A second source with close ties to the restaurant association from that period said the woman revealed at the time that she had suffered what the source described as “an unwanted sexual advance” from Cain at a hotel where an event involving the group was taking place…”

- Has declared bankruptcy twice and held nine jobs in 17 years. Today her main sources of income are child support and financial help from her fiancé.
- Cain's team has said they think money is her motive. "The fact is the Democratic machine in America has brought fourth a troubled woman to make these claims," Cain said Tuesday.
- During their meeting, Bialek alleges that Cain put his hand under her skirt and reached for her genitals and also pushed her head toward his crotch while they were in a car.

- Veteran anchor Bill Kurtis says Bialek was former CBS employee with a ‘track record’: hers and Cain’s roles may even ’have been reversed’ in car

- Cain asked her to connect him with a "lovely young lady" who had asked a question during his speech. When Donella declined, Cain allegedly responded, "Then you and I can have dinner."
- She said she didn't witness any "inappropriate sexual behavior" at the group dinner. But she claimed he asked the waiter for two $400 bottles of wine, and then stiffed the rest of the group when it came time to pay.

Accuser #6: Victor Zuckerman
- Sharon Bialek's ex-boyfriend
- I can confirm that when she returned [from meeting with Mr. Cain], she was upset, she said that something had happened and the Mr. Cain had touched her in an inappropriate manner,” Zuckerman said. “She said she had handled it.”
- Zuckerman said that more recently, he and Bialek talked about Cain after the allegations came to light, and Bialek said that the accusations didn’t surprise her.

UPDATE: 2YR Chinese girl ruthlessly run over twice has died
UPDATE: This is what happens when a culture or society does not value the individual. What is that little girl to the collectivists, just a mouth to feed and worse yet a little girl. This is just a symptom of a much greater problem in places like China where everyone is in effect a slave to the "people." Individualism is viewed as a sin. Only the inherent human nature of compassion goes against the grain (thank God). The woman who tried to save her is a hero and those who ignored her should be...have bad things done to them. The drivers? Prison at minimum. God bless Yueyue and her family.

I really hope that someone can agree with me on that. The one good thing about Raleigh is that for so many years we worked across party lines. It’s a little bit more contentious now but it’s not impossible to try to do what’s right in this state. You want people who don’t worry about the next election.”
